Dennis Walker began his professional musical career in 1971, playing bass for Phillip Walker.

He went on to play with some of the greatest blues artists of our time including; Percy Mayfield, Lowell Fulson, Otis Rush, and Buddy Guy...just to name a few!

 

Dennis has written and produced music for: Robert Cray, BB King, Phillip Walker, Bettye Lavette, Frankie Lee, Maria Muldaur, John Campbell, Joe Louis Walker, Lonesome Sundown, Ted Hawkins, and Phillip Fankhauser.

 

He has over 250 original songs registered with BMI.

Songs like; “Right Next Door,” Don't Be Afraid Of the Dark,” Bouncin' Back,” “Salt On My Wounds,” “Playin' With My Friends,” “The Forecast,”

and “Too Little Too Late,” are considered blues classics.

 

He has won 3 Grammy Awards, and was nominated five times.

His accredited discography spans over three decades, and many of the award winning albums decorate the walls of his home office.

 

As a prolific song writer, his regimented routine of writing begins at 5:00am on a daily basis.
